My top baby travel tips - hotel 🏨 👶🏼👶🏼💓edition!

1. Get adjoining rooms if possible! We had my in laws with us to help watch the girls and requested an adjoining room with them - this was great for nap times, bedtime when we were out and they were watching the girls.

2. Monitors - we used our @get_nanit and connected it to a hotspot so it was a private network and it worked perfectly. We have the travel case and stand and love it.

3. Cribs - we requested pack & plays from the hotel when booking and reconfirmed multiple times before checking in. We brought our own sheets. I’d like to find some sort of pad situation bc the mattress was pretty hard! ALSO will definitely be investing in a black out pod for future because there are some lights in hotel rooms you just can’t turn off.

4. Sound machine - request a room on a higher floor so you’re not close to street level for noise & bring your sound machine - we have @hatchforsleep !

5. Bottles - we had a formula setup station in the bathroom and brought water jugs. We brought our own dish soap and have a mobile washing station from Amazon (linked on my stories!)

6. Laundry - we brought our @branchbasics detergent to wash things we needed to since we were there for 5 days, washed in the sink & hung dry! We made it work!

7. Changing station - we brought portable poo pads to change the girls on.

8. Get CREATIVE with activities..suitcases, water bottles, hotel activities (like the pool), local children’s museums are your best friend! I’ve started to research things like this to get the girls the most activity possible.

3 things I changed to get BETTER results from exercise…

And when I say results - I mean more mental clarity, better relationship with my body, more energy, patience, becoming a better version of me & yes how I felt/looked too - but that wasn’t at all the focus of that makes sense?!

I used to be bogged down by being at war with my body, focusing on how to be smaller and what it had to look like. Removing those rules and meeting myself where I’m at each day - ESPECIALLY as a mom, has been a game changer.

Postpartum Confidence Part TWO ✌🏼 w/ @aerie

Confidence postpartum (or just as a new mom in general) is something that is super tricky for me - I feel like I doubt myself, question what I’m doing and of course all of this combined with social media, comparison, being in a new body, new lifestyle, etc - it’s A LOT! I wanted to expand on some things that are truly helping me that I’m trying to be intentional about this year..

1. Leaning into my intuition over listening to outside noise - I feel like we all fall victim to this..we live in a time of information (and opinion) overload, and it can be overwhelming, Reminding myself that I know what works for my unique family, baby, self best & not straying from that is so key.

2. Connect with other moms, but don’t compare - as I’ve said before, community is everything..but it can also be really easy to compare their journey to your own. Everyone’s journey is different in the best way - celebrate that, it’d be boring if it wasn’t!

3. Wear clothes that represent who I want to be as a mom & make me feel both confident and comfortable - this is where @aerie steps in - I’m on a mission to elevate my style and feel GOOD in what I’m wearing throughout the day, because it can be soo easy to neglect yourself and that in the busyness of daily life, but it makes a huge difference.

4. Being present in my motherhood journey & surrounding myself with people who support that - this one is HUGE. I’m in a new era of my life, and I need people around me that support that. That understand it may take me 3 days to text back, that I may be a few mins late to plans, that get that my life now revolves around naptime schedules and that my girls are going to be my priority over anything else. The support is so important to not doubt yourself and the decisions you make IMO!
