Book Recommendations for the Millennial Gal Pt. 2

Ready for the second round of my book recommendations?! I know I am! You guys know I love being a little book worm! I absolutely think we should never stop learning, and in all honestly..never think that we know everything! The secret is that we will NEVER know everything, but I love to learn new things daily.

IKYMI, you can check out my first book recommendations round up via this blog post. I have many more recommendations for each of the categories we cover below, which I know you will enjoy. Alright, enough of this..let’s dive right in!

Wellness Book Recommendations

  •  Breakthrough by Suzanne Sommers: If you’re a woman, you absolutely need this book! She gives her eight steps to wellness and proves that she was WAY ahead of her time when it comes to health. She interviews doctors throughout the book on breakthrough studies and methods that help women age well and live well. It covers tons on women’s hormones too, which I loved!
  • Leading with Love by Alysia Pope: I had to, guys!! If you haven’t gotten your hands on this yet, what are you waiting for?! I go over the 4 pillars to my wellness philosophy, include a 7-day plant centric meal plan and SO MUCH MORE! But don’t take my word for it, one of the purchasers, Nadzeya says “Leading with Love is not only a pleasant and entertaining book, but also some sort of a guide every woman is recommended to check out at any stage of her life!”

Fiction Book Recommendations

  • Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover: A tainted love story between a young duo living in San Francisco, a pilot and a nurse who are tangled in a twisted love story. One of them isn’t so ready to commit, but for a reason..
  • The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine: PAGE TURNER. All I need to say, LOL. This covers a glam town with a twisted love affair. It’s suspenseful, addictive and everything you need!
  • Verity by Colleen Hoover: The twisted and tangled story of a ghost writer gone a bit haywire! Again, this is a crazy page turner with another twisted love story..like all of them!!
  • November 9th: A story of two young strangers who meet on November 9th, which becomes a special day, however they also come to find that there’s much more meaning behind November 9th than either of them knew!

Inspirational Book Recommendations

  • Remembering to Live by Khalil Rafati: If you remember, I also love his first book, I Forgot to Die. This is the follow up to the first where you can get a deep dive on how exactly Khalil went from almost dying, homeless and broke to the  founder of SunLife Organics – one of my favorite spots in LA (and now has 13+ locations across the west coast.) He dives into how he built his business, rebuilt his life and regained his health in so many ways!
  • Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty: I absolutely love Jay Shetty,  who is the host of the On Purpose podcast, and a former Monk! Throughout the book, Jay teaches the principles that he learned as a monk and how we can apply them to our every day life to live more purposefully and passionately.
  • Journey to the Heart by Melody Beattie: This is a book I read every single morning. There is a daily passage/meditation that helps guide you to open your heart and on your journey to self love. It’s AMAZING.
