Homemade Green Goddess Dressing
Whenever I see green goddess dressing on a menu, I ALWAYS order it. It’s packed with nutrients and delicious flavor – two of my favorite things! So, I figured why not make some of my own? I did, and it’s insanely simple, versatile and you’re going to love it! Let’s get into it…
Green Goddess Dressing Details
This recipe is actually fairly versatile, so feel free to switch up the herbs based on what you have on hand/what is in season. Here it goes..
- Base: For the base, I used a mix of Kite Hill Vegan Sour Cream and Primal Kitchen Avocado Mayo. You can use whatever version you prefer, but I did this to keep it dairy free. You can also do full sour cream vs. the mayo combo if that is easier! I also used a little extra virgin olive oil, which adds a rich flavor.
- Herbs & Greens: For the herbs, I used a combination of one cup of parsley mixed with 1/2 c dill and a 1/2 c cilantro. You can also add in basil, mint, etc. Those would both be delicious. I also did two stalks of chives in the dressing too.
- Acid: For the acidic part of the dressing, I used a combination of red wine vinegar and the juice of one lemon. You can also use white wine vinegar if you prefer!
- Sweetness:I like a touch of sweetness in my salad dressings, especially a green goddess, and this one was no exception! I added a little monk fruit, which is a zero glycemic sweetener (it won’t affect blood sugar.)
If you’re into this recipe, you may also check out my Cilantro Lime Salad Dressing or my Tahini Vinaigrette Dressing, which are two of my other fave homemade dressings!
