Summer Shrimp Kabobs
Grill season for me just screams summer! More specifically, shrimp kabobs are just the perfect summer meal in my opinion! It’s refreshing, tropical, and all around simply delicious! I love using local seasonal produce as well. Let’s get into the specifics!
Shrimp Kabob Breakdown!
As I mentioned, these shrimp kabobs are simple, but also super delicious! They pack a ton of delicious fruits and veggies for the summer. I’ll break it down for you…
- Protein: For the protein in this meal, I decided to go with Wild Gulf Shrimp since we’re here in Florida. I always love eating local, it means it’s the most fresh you can get, and the fresher, the better! You could easily do chicken or steak for this meal as well.
- Veggies: For the veggies on this, I found that organic bell pepper and onion complimented the sweet from the pineapple and rich flavor of the shrimp. You can opt for any of your favorite veggies, but these are my go-to for grilling!
- Fruit: There is truly nothing better than delicious grilled pineapple – and it’s so festive for the summer. We grilled the extra pineapple too to have on hand!
- Method: Be sure to soak your wooden skewers in water before skewing. Then, proceed with preparing your shrimp skewers. If you don’t have a grill, no problem. Feel free to bake these skewers in the oven. 25-30 minutes at 350 should be perfect. Finally, for seasoning I absolutely love the Chef Paul’s Seafood Seasoning!
