Vegan Jalapeño Popper Dip

Anyone else a sucker for spicy food?! I know I am! I’ve also always been a fan of Jalapeño Poppers, but unfortunately my stomach has never been a fan of them, LOL! This Vegan Jalapeño Popper Dip is the perfect dish to bring to any party, and it will be a hit with everyone!

Jalapeño Popper Dip Specifics

As I mentioned, this Jalapeño Popper Dip is not only delicious, but it’s also super simple! You can whip it up super quickly and rest assured that everyone will love. Here’s what you need:

  • Vegan Cream Cheese: I recommend using a chive or scallion cream cheese because it adds more flavor to the dish, but plain works as well. My choice is Kite Hill Vegan Chive Cream Cheese, as it has the best texture IMO.
  • Vegan Sour Cream & Mozzarella: The sour cream helps to add to the texture of the dip, too. I love Kite Hill for this as well, which you can find at your local Whole Foods. For the Mozzarella, I swear by Miyoko’s Brand, which you can find at Whole Foods too.
  • Give me the Flavor!: Now of course we’re going to add in some jalapeño!! I recommend leaving in the seeds if you want it super spicy, but beware that it WILL bring the heat, LOL. In addition to this, I also use Nutritional Yeast, as well as garlic, extra virgin olive oil and white onion.
  • Add a Little Crunch: Now this is a CRUCIAL part of the recipe in my opinion. You can use any cracker crumbs, but I recommend using the Almond Flour Crackers by Simple Mills. They’re clean, delicious and amazing!

Vegan Jalapeño Popper Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 carton (8 oz.) vegan cream cheese, chive flavor preferred
  • 1/2 c vegan sour cream
  • 1/4 c vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c nutritional yeast
  • 2-3 large Jalapeños, seeds removed (optional), finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 white onion, finely diced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/4 c almond flour crackers, crushed
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Jalapeño, thinly sliced

Instructions

Let’s Get Poppin’!

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Add olive oil, Jalapeño and white onion to a non stick pan and sauté on medium heat.
  3. Once cooked through, add the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper to the skillet and move onto low heat.
  4. Mix everything on low heat until well combined.
  5. Following, add the dip to a greased dish (I used a small tarte pan.)
  6. Crush your crackers and add 1 tbsp olive oil to the crackers in s small dish.
  7. Distribute the cracker mixture on top of the dip, then place sliced Jalapeño (for the topping) on top.
  8. Place in the oven and bake for ~10 minutes, then broil for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Enjoy with your favorite cracker or veggie!
