Healthy Habits Purely Pope Carlsbad Flower Fields

Spring into Healthy Habits!

I’m ALWAYS preaching this, but I couldn’t believe it more: Food. Is. Medicine! A caveat to that however, is that we physically can’t get everything we need through our food, whether it be our body not absorbing it correctly, not eating enough of something, etc. I feel that with the change of the seasons, whether it be Spring, Summer or Fall, we’re always finding ourselves a bit under the weather. Here are all of my tips and tricks for habits that you need in your life to stay healthy YEAR ROUND!

Seasonal Health & Supplements

I take a few supplements, but it’s important to note that this is very personalized to each individual. I would suggest doing a blood work test with a doctor so that you can find out what you’re deficient in so that you can both adjust your diet and create a supplement plan.

One supplement that I feel confident recommending to everyone however is Airloom! My favorite part about this brand is the story and how it was designed. The supplement was born from a couple that lives in Washington, DC. The wife had been experiencing immune issues for over a year to the point that she couldn’t breathe. Doctors couldn’t figure it out either and their response was steroids, and multiple medications which of course left her feeling completely out of wack, and not 100% at all. The husband did a ton of research and went to Whole Foods to combine multiple natural ingredients that would be combined to help her symptoms. Within a few days, she was feeling back to normal again!! How incredible is that?

Airloom not only helps get you through the season, but it supports your immune and respiratory system by allowing your body to defend itself from airborne irritants, using natural ingredients!

Healthy Habits Year Round!

Outside of supplements, I really do believe that it’s important to pay attention to habits that are going to keep you looking AND feeling your best daily. This will not only keep you healthy, but also keep your immune system at tip top shape!

  1. Hydrate. Isn’t it funny that it’s the things that are the most simple that you always forget? Three liters a day is my goal. I bought this amazing Hydro Flask and I drink three per day and voila! Not only does it help flush out toxins, but it also keeps you full and keeps your skin looking amazing.
  2. Sleep. Again, one of the most simple things. Anytime I get sick, it’s when I’m traveling like crazy which usually goes hand in hand with jet lag and not getting quality sleep. Figure out how much you need and go from there. Personally, I need a MINIMUM of 8 hours 🙂
  3. Six Cups of Greens per Day. Yes, you read that right – SIX! My tip to you? Add in a lot in the morning – you can easily get two cups of spinach via an omelette or a smoothie and then be sure to fill half of your plate with greens for lunch and dinner. You get so many nutrients from leafy greens so it’s really important to keep these incorporated in your diet! Take a peek at this recipe for Broccoli Hash Browns for a fun way to add in some veggies in your life!
